Dear Colleagues,
On Behalf of NeTropica, the Master Program in Infectious and Zoonotic Diseases, the National Autonomous University of Honduras and the Organizing Committee we would like to invite you to participate in the VI Biennial NeTropica Meeting: “Research Without Borders”.

The Meeting is scheduled for July 25-27, 2012 and will take place in the legendary city of Copan Ruins (Ruinas de Copán) located in Western Honduras. The venue of the Meeting will be Hotel Clarion Posada Real just minutes away from one of the most important archeological sites of the Mayan culture that flourished in the region during the 7th century of our era.

As usual, the purpose of our Meeting is to promote science and research networks in and for Central America, with the participation of many scientists from the region and from different parts of the world.

We encourage your participation in this Meeting and to become part of our tradition.

Topics to be discussed at the Meeting will include:

  • Specific topics:
  • Endemic and Emerging Infectious, Vector-borne Diseases and Zoonoses
  • Environmental, Industrial, Food and Water Microbiology
  • Non-infectious tropical diseases
  • Infectious etiology of chronic conditions (e.g., cancer)

  • Global Health and One Health
  • Strengthening Health Research
  • Research Systems and Networks
